You don’t have to live in a hyper organized home like I do. TJ is an Army brat and is comfortable with having books grouped according to genre and then by author. He also likes to iron his clothes without my help because it would be a horrific tragedy if I forgot the collar of his shirt, or didn’t spray the ample amount of water in between the two rounds of starch.
Even though my amazing husband is over the top organized, I have to admit that I like order too. Nothing is better than a color coded closet or folded towels with the crease facing you in a nice pile.
For those who aren’t so gleeful on organization, I’m sorry to say that if you want to be successful with your coupon escapades without losing your mind or wasting your day, you need to find a system!
I started out with a mini filing folder, but quickly outgrew it when I realized there wasn’t enough space for all my categories:
I had also tried my mom’s shoe box way of organizing, but having a kiddo in the cart didn’t make this practical. And sorry Mom, it was kind of embarrassing to lug around and difficult to have to look through the pile of coupons despite them being in defined categories with a baby wanting to tear everything out of the box from pure boredom.
And then I found the way! The coupon binder.
By all means, do whatever works for you and your needs! But if you want to get super organized quickly and are bombarded with the amount of coupons you’re collecting thanks to those nifty links I told you about, then this is a no fail way to go.
All you need is:
- Three ring binder
- Baseball or business card inserts
- Sheet Protectors
Then go visit the Krazy Coupon Lady for your free download of print outs of categories, and you’re on your way to saving yourself precious time.
